Coffee, fruit, and ‘magic’ water: Here’s what Khloé eats in a day

Khloé Kardashian has had a complete body transformation over the last year, slimming down by a massive 40lbs and toning up all over.

While her strict workout regime has no doubt played a huge part in her weight loss, experts say the secret to the perfect body is 80% diet, 20% exercise.

And looking at Khloé's daily menu, we can clearly see how she's managed to drop the pounds, and keep them off.

In an extract from her new diet and fitness book, Strong Looks Better Naked, Khloé details exactly what she eats in a day.

We were pleasantly surprised to see that it's all stuff we already have in the fridge:

My Day On a Plate

5:00 am: I'm up bright and early and have a huge glass of water and a black coffee.

6:00 am: I'm off to the gym, ready to sweat.

8:00 am: Breakfast is another big glass of water, my ideal oatmeal, and a protein shake.

11:00 am: I snack on an apple with peanut butter or fruit and nuts.

1:00 pm: Lunch is a Chinese chicken salad.

3:00 pm: Snack time! Homemade hummus, chopped veggies, edamame, and another big glass of water (this time infused with fruit).

7:00 pm: Time for dinner. I usually keep it pretty clean, and my favorite go-to is steamed veggies and fish served with my Magic Mash-Up [cauliflower mash] and a glass of water of course.

9:00 pm: I end my day with a bowl of fruit with plain Greek yoghurt.

Key to Khloé's daily eating plan is that all meals be made using fresh, seasonal produce. She also extols the virtues of drinking loads of water – Khloé's a big fan of "magical" H2O.

So much so, in fact, that she keeps four jugs of different fruit-infused detox waters in her fridge.

The reality star has previously spoken out about shunning fad diets in favour of broader changes to her everyday routine.

"The word 'die' is in it, I don't believe in diets. I believe in lifestyle changes," she says.

"I made major cut-backs. I used to love soda, so I've cut out soda completely and I drink like ice tea or water. If you do one thing a month and you cut something off little by little and then it just becomes a part of your life."

She also says she'll never deny herself the odd treat or two. Case in point:

As well as offering diet and fitness advice, Khloé also discusses tough moments from her past, including the downward spiral of partying she fell into after her father's death, and of course the breakdown of her marriage to Lamar Odom.
